South African Poker Association (SAPA)

The South African Poker Association was formed in 2004 and represents the interests of the country’s poker gaming community.

SAPA aims to provide poker players in South Africa with standard guidelines for all common variants of poker, in keeping with the accepted international rules. Further the aims extend to fostering local growth in poker and exposing South Africa to the international poker world.

Any organisation that is registered with SAPA has passed stringent qualifying procedures to best ensure that they abide by legal criteria; are a legitimate organisation; adhere to the accepted rule set; are in good standing by reputation. These registered organisations may display the SAPA logo (see left).
